The Building Act requires all contractors to hold the appropriate license issued by the Régie du bâtiment (RBQ). The RBQ verifies knowledge and skills through examinations and makes sure that contractors are solvent. In accordance with the Act, AVANTAGE-PLUS INC. holds a general contractor license that allows it to perform work in all categories of general renovation.

This certification allows A+ to offer the APCHQ Renovation Guarantee program. The Renovation Guarantee program is the most recognized guarantee program by financial institutions, the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, the Société d’habitation du Québec and consumers themselves.
APCHQ – Réno Maitre
The APCHQ (Quebec provincial home builders association) symbol of excellence is awarded to contractors that set themselves apart through the quality of their work and the services they provide to customers. Réno-Maître is a certification granted by the APCHQ to companies that have stood out for their professionalism over the years. AVANTAGE-PLUS has Réno-Maître certification.
Commission de la construction du Québec
Created in 1987, the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) is responsible for administering the Act Respecting Labour Relations, Vocational Training and Workforce Management in the Construction Industry (Act R-20), which governs this industry.
Residential building guarantee
Officially authorized by the Board of Directors of the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) on July 3, 2014, the residential building guarantee (GCR) program is run by an independent non-profit organization mandated to administer the new residential building guarantee program for all of Quebec. The mission of the GCR is to protect the interests of new home and condominium buyers, reduce the number of claims by improving the quality of buildings and ensure sound management of the risks associated with the coverage offered.
