A Space That Grows with Science

Eli Health develops a technology that makes saliva-based hormone tracking accessible to everyone, designed and manufactured on-site at its Montreal facility. To house this dual reality, a manufacturing lab and a fast-growing scale-up team, the company brought in A+ for the integrated design-build of its new 20,068 ft² offices and laboratory.

The challenge: bringing together the rigour of a laboratory and the flexibility of a growing company, including its product, marketing and tech teams, inside a heritage building with constraints of its own. Specialized ventilation, humidity control paired with a humidification system, the city’s technical requirements: every issue was solved to deliver a space where the lab is part of everyday office life, visible rather than shut away behind a sealed door.

The layout was also designed to evolve: modular zones, a lab that can expand or be reconfigured, and a space that can change as roles shift and the company moves through new phases. No need to relocate to grow.

Every material was chosen to reflect the company’s culture. Stainless steel is everywhere and evokes the precision of a lab: the moment you walk in, you truly understand exactly what the company stands for.
